  • A little bit about green tea

Ceylon Green Tea is a fresh, vibrant tea grown in the highlands of Sri Lanka. Known for its bright color and smooth, grassy taste with hints of citrus or nuttiness, it stands apart from other green teas. Naturally rich in antioxidants, it’s a clean, refreshing brew that reflects the island’s unique climate and heritage.

How is Ceylon Black Tea different to Assam?

Both Ceylon and Assam black teas share bold flavors and a strong body, making them ideal for milk tea and morning brews. Like Assam, Ceylon black tea is also grown locally at different elevations, which shapes its character. But while Assam tends to be malty and deep, Ceylon leans brighter and more citrusy, offering a fresher finish.

Because loose leaf tea is like the VIP section of the tea world , more flavor, more aroma, more room to dance (we mean steep)! It's tea in its purest, most fabulous form.

No dusty bags, just whole leaves doing their thing and giving you a brew that’s bold, beautiful, and totally worth obsessing over.

Ceylon Tea Was Once Called “The Champagne of Teas”

Ceylon tea, especially from the highlands, has been praised for its lively, crisp, and bright character, earning it the nickname "The Champagne of Teas." Its sparkling quality makes it a fabulous base for tea spritzers and elegant tea-based cocktails. Try a chilled Earl Grey Champagne Sparkler with a twist of lemon for a bubbly tea celebration.

The First Tea Mocktail in Sri Lanka Was Inspired by Tropical Fruits

Sri Lankan bartenders began experimenting with iced Ceylon tea in the 90s, mixing it with local fruits like mango, pineapple, and passionfruit. This led to the birth of iconic mocktails like the Passion Ceylon Punch, a fruity, tangy, alcohol-free cooler that's still a hit at beachside resorts!

Ceylon Tea is Naturally Perfect for Iced Tea

Thanks to its bold, brisk character, Ceylon tea doesn't lose its flavor when chilled, making it a global favorite for iced teas. Unlike many teas that turn bitter when cold, Ceylon tea stays refreshing and vibrant, especially when cold-brewed overnight. Add fresh mint, citrus slices, or berries for extra flair.

You Can Brew It Hot… Then Cool It Down for a Flavor Boost

Ceylon tea develops more complexity when you brew it hot and then flash-chill it. This technique, called "shock cooling," locks in the tea’s bright notes and prevents cloudiness. Use this for a bold iced cinnamon tea or a spicy-sweet chai mocktail with a zesty finish.
